Windows Laptops Run On Mobile Processor In 2020 : Future Of Windows

Microsoft Is Making Full Windows 10 Run On Mobile Processor

Microsoft and Qualcomm on Wednesday announced that Windows 10 will get support for ARM chipsets, specifically, Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoCs. The first of these devices should arrive "as early as next year", the two companies revealed. This will enable hardware manufacturers to create portable devices like laptops, tablets, and even smartphones with support for desktop Windows apps (and games). The two companies made the announcement at Microsoft's conference in Shenzen, China, however.

Microsoft's attempts to get into the smartphone business have mostly been a disastrous affair. And for a while it appeared the Redmond, Wash.-based software giant had made its peace, having found a big growth business in the cloud. But it looks like Microsoft is somehow still not quite done with mobile.

At Microsoft's hardware developer conference in Shenzhen, China, the company said that a full-fledged Windows 10 experience will work on upcoming ARM-based processors built by mobile chipmaker Qualcomm. This would mark the first time that the full Windows experience is able to operate on an ARM processor, which run virtually every smartphone in the world.

In simple word Microsoft announced with snapdragon to make first arm processor which is compatible for Windows 10. After this announcement  new Windows  Laptops are come with snapdragon processor which is a arm based processor. Microsoft also said that it is cheaper in price but better in speed than other processors.

Windows 10 on ARM is arriving by the partnership with Qualcomm and Microsoft. Initially, Microsoft will support the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processors, and laptops are expected to be the first devices we’ll see in the market next year. Microsoft is enabling Windows 10 to support ARM chips directly by building an emulator into the operating system. Devices will be able to run x86 win32 applications like Chrome or Photoshop, but Microsoft won’t be emulating x64 variants of these apps. That’s not a huge problem as not many apps have been compiled for x64 instructions, and most that have also have an x86 counterpart. What this means is you’ll be able to buy a lightweight laptop with good battery life and support for Windows desktop apps next year. Microsoft also said that In future all this problems were solved.

Microsoft is demonstrating and explain its desktop apps on ARM capability with Adobe’s Photoshop software today, but any of the millions of desktop apps will just work according to the company. “I think people are going to have to experience the devices for themselves,” explains Myerson. “I think that for many people it's going to be a very delightful experience.”

"The first PCs running Windows 10 based on Snapdragon processors are expected to be available as early as next year," Qualcomm separately said. The statement would imply that complete Windows 10 support for Qualcomm ARM devices such as smartphones could take a little longer to arrive. That does indeed appear to be the case, with Myerson confirming to The Verge that the initial focus would be on laptops, however, the company is envisioning a vast ecosystem of Windows 10 ARM devices. "We're thinking about platform that supports small screens, large screens, devices with no screens at all, head-mounted displays, and so what can these device makers build will really be up to them."

Microsoft is reveling that it is the fastest processor of snapdragon series which make it different from others. But If you are a true gamer then Windows is one of the best choice rather any other laptops.

Windows 10 comes with what’s called the Game bar. This lets you record game clips or take screenshots from the PC games you already have, including games from Steam or other gaming services. Simply hit Windows + G, and the Game bar pops up. Once you’ve recorded the clip, it’s easy to post to YouTube or your favorite social network. And with more and more PC games supporting controllers, Windows 10 natively supports Xbox gaming accessories (including the upcoming Xbox Elite Wireless Controller).

We at Microsoft appreciate the partnership with Snapdragon and the ongoing support of the PC gaming community has become a new change for Republic Gamers.
